She was still running, or, well, the person carrying her was. Their breathing was shallow and uneven and each step was heavy and hard-put. Her arms bounced as they ran and the girl's hands, who was holding her onto her back, were shaking with effort. Piper cracked her eyes open a bit to see, well, darkness.
